The FamilySearch Wiki is a great tool for learning about available family history resources. It contains articles discussing all sorts of family history topics; everything from selecting computer software to Ireland civil registration indexes.
One important category of articles in this wiki is the Historical Records category. These articles provide a brief description of the history and content of all FamilySearch Historical Records Collections, along with help on how to get the most from your search and links to related websites.
But these articles need help. Because wikis are based on public contributions, we need your help to fill out and expand these articles. Although FamilySearch’s User Guidance Unit prepares and uploads basic material, there are many articles that need additional information.
You can tell if an article needs help if there is an Incomplete Section template in the article. A list of articles with these templates is on the Incomplete Section page. You can also visit the Projects Needing Content subpage and select a continent to view articles needing additional help. And of course, you are always welcome to edit any article you read that could use additional information. To edit an article, click Edit This Page next to the article name. For help editing articles, visit Editing a Page.
Thank you for your commendable efforts in family history research and for helping us improve the FamilySearch Wiki articles.
