Dear Family History Center Director,
I would like to personally introduce you to our first family history center director’s newsletter! We hope that this monthly communication will provide you with timely and useful information as you strive to make your family history center a support to the priesthood, as well as a great resource to the community.
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Ryan Koelliker, and I am a product manager for FamilySearch. One of my responsibilities is family history centers. Over the past few months I have been spending most of my time reading your feedback about what you are doing in your center. Below is a picture of what we have done with your excellent suggestions.
We are reading it, grouping it into topics, and determining how we can best help you in what you are doing. Through this process, I have felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for all that you do each and every day. I just wanted to thank you for all the work that you do in helping individuals feel the joy and pleasure of connecting with their ancestors and helping them prepare for temple work. Thank you also for being a great example to the community of what it means to give meaningful service. Please continue with your great efforts.
Each month we will send you a newsletter, specific to directors. In addition to the newsletter, all the information will be posted on the director’s blog at familysearch.org (it is hidden from public view) that we have created, but it can be accessed at www.familysearch.org/blog/fhc-directors, or you can follow the links from the newsletter. You can also post responses and communicate with other directors! Make sure you bookmark this page, as we plan to post many more great things that will help you in your calling as a family history center director.
