How do I edit a story in Memories?

After you add a story, you can update and change it.

Steps (website)

From the Person page

1. Sign in to FamilySearch, and navigate to the Tree profile of the person.
2. Click Memories.
3. To filter for stories only, on the upper right side of the screen, click Filter.
4. To the right of the memories, a Filter panel appears. The View section defaults to all memory types. To deselect Photos, Documents, and Audios, click each.
5. Click the story that you want to edit.
6. To the right of the title, click Edit.
7. Make your changes, and click Submit.

From the Gallery

1. Sign in to FamilySearch.
2. At the top of the page, click Memories. 
3. Click Gallery.
4. At the top, click the Stories icon (looks like a book).
5. Click the story that you want to edit.
6. To the right of the title, click Edit.
7. Make your changes, and click Submit.

Steps (mobile app)

Family Tree mobile app

1. Navigate to the Tree profile of the person.
2. Tap Memories.
3. At the top, tap the Stories icon (lined page with letter A).
4. Tap the story that you want to edit.
5. In the top right, tap the three dots.
6. Tap Edit or Edit Story.
7. Make your changes, and tap Save.

Memories mobile app

1. At the top, tap the Stories icon (lined page with letter A).
2. Tap the story that you want to edit.
3. In the top right, tap the three dots. 
4. Tap Edit or Edit Story.
5. Make your changes, and tap Save.

Steps (Family Tree Lite)

The Memories feature is not available for Family Tree Lite. If you want to edit your memories, go to the main website.
