Sign in to use the features on FamilySearch, including the use of Family Tree and in order to search our free collection of online digital records.

For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

If you have a Church Account, to sign in to FamilySearch, you can click the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints icon. You do not need a separate FamilySearch account. This sign in option is available on the website and in the mobile apps. It is not available in Family Tree Lite.

Steps to Sign in (website)

  1. Go to FamilySearch.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click Sign In. (If Sign In is not in the menu, click the icon with three horizontal lines. Then click Sign in.)
  3. Enter your FamilySearch account username and password. Or, you can select an icon to use another existing account to sign in with, for example Facebook, Google, Apple or ChurchofJesusChrist.org account.
  4. Click Sign In.

Steps (mobile app)

  1. Open the Family Tree or Memories mobile app and tap Sign in.
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Tap Sign In.

Steps (Family Tree Lite)

Sign in to use Family Tree Lite:

  1. Go to Family Tree Lite.
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click Sign In.
