My account is locked. What do I do?

We are sorry your access to FamilySearch is locked.

A FamilySearch account locks for ten minutes after five failed login attempts made in succession, then automatically unlocks. When using the Church Account sign-in option, the account locks for 30 minutes after six failed attempts in succession, then automatically unlocks. In the case of using other sign in options like Facebook, Google, or Apple, the account timeout will be based on the other company's policies.
