How do I opt into the FamilySearch directory service? How do I opt out?

A new directory service makes it easier to find others on FamilySearch.org. The service is found in multiple messaging features on the site, including RootsTech Chat. Opting in to share your information can open doors to new family connections. You can opt out at any time.

Opting in is required to participate in the Ask Me Anything help experience during RootsTech.
