What do the map icons mean in the Family Tree time line?

Share

The time line view in Family Tree includes map pin icons that represent events from the time line. To see the icons, zoom in to a portion of the map, or click a number on the map.

As the map zooms in, you see the gray map pin icons. (In addition you see other icons that are part of Google Maps and identify points of interest in the area.) Click a gray map pin icon. The system highlights the corresponding item on the time line to the left of the map. The image inside each icon represents a time line category.

  • A lined sheet of paper represents a historical event.
