The Private People list identifies the living and confidential people that are in the tree that you have open. When you do not find a person on the list, consider one of the following reasons:
- You marked the person deceased, and the record is in the public tree.
- You deleted the person from your private tree.
- You or someone else deleted a person from a family group tree.
- A FamilySearch administrator removed the confidential indicator.
- You are viewing the Private People list for your private tree instead of a family group tree or vice versa.
Copying living or confidential people to a family group tree does not automatically delete them from your private list. After copying living or confidential people to a family group tree, you can choose whether to keep copies in your private tree.
