If you have a Family Group Tree, you can switch between that and your private tree easily.

About "FamilySearch Tree"

In Family Tree, all users have a private tree that contains the living and confidential people that they entered. Formerly, this tree was called a "private space." Currently, within the Family Group Tree feature, this is called the "FamilySearch Tree."

When you view the FamilySearch Tree, the living and confidential people in the tree are visible only to you. When you view a Family Group Tree, the living people are visible to all group members.

Steps (website)

Starting from the group

  1. Open the family group.
  2. Click View Tree.

Starting from the tree

  1. Display Family Tree.
  2. On the far left side of the screen, find the option to switch trees. It a light blue rectangle, located to the left of the Tree, Person, Recents, and other menu items. The current option has the label "FamilySearch Tree" or the name of another Family Group Tree.
  3. Click the currently selected option, and select the Family Group Tree.

Steps (mobile)

Starting from the tree

  1. Open your mobile Family Tree App, and make sure you are on the Tree tab.
  2. At the top of the screen, tap the Pedigree option.
  3. Tap the tree you want to display.
  4. Tap Switch.

Starting from the settings

  1. Open your mobile Family Tree App, and tap More.
  2. Tap Family Groups.
  3. Tap the family group that you want.
  4. Tap Group Tree.
