What to test: Portrait veiw

On FamilySearch Labs, click Try It under Family Group Trees.


With the Portrait view, you can easily expand to display all of your and your ancestors’ siblings. You can also open several family lines at once to see more of your tree. This is also helpful to view descendants of an ancestor.

  1. Switch to the Portrait view:
  2. Move every person in your Family Group Tree to the main position by selecting their profile card and selecting View Tree on the side panel.
  3. Click the + sign on a person's tile to add a family member.
  4. Open and navigate through the various ancestor or descendant lines. Use the Home and Reset View options.
  5. Click Options, and use the various options.
  6. Print a few charts.
  7. Use the zoom feature.
