Instructions for group members
FamilySearch needs your help with a new feature called Family Group Trees.
Your group administrator will create the group and build the initial tree. After that, here's what you do:

1. Accept the invitation to join the group.
Accepting the invitation turns on the early access to Family Group Trees.

Currently, Family Group Trees are available on the website and the iOS version of the Family Tree mobile app. In the future, Family Group Trees will be available on the Android mobile app as well.

What changes when you turn on early access?

2. Add new people to the Family Group Tree.
You can add the new people either type them in or copy them from the FamilySearch Tree.

3. Try every Family Tree feature.
Try every Family Tree feature in your Family Group Tree.

Note: Family Group Trees do not yet work on the fan chart, descendancy view, and first ancestor view.

The user interface may change. There may be bugs. Stay in communication with your group and report their feedback. The feedback button will be on the right side of the Family Group management and left side of the pedigree pages.
A few help articles are available to help you use Family Group Trees. They are not yet available in the FamilySearch Help Center.
The preview is currently available on the FamilySearch website and the Family Trees iOS mobile app.
