Have you seen the latest? The Person Page on FamilySearch Family Tree is changing and adding some fun new features. This short video will highlight them.
Family Tree provides 7 "Other Relationships" in this feature: apprenticeship, employment, godparent, household, neighbor, relative, and enslavement.
How you record enslaved persons in Family Tree depends on how what you know about them from your family's history and from historical records, such as estate registers.
Use the Other Relationship's edit feature to record dates, places, and sources about the enslavement or emancipation of a person in Family Tree.
In Family Tree, you can only add a first ancestor with the First Ancestor View.
In Family Tree, the maximum number of Other Relationships that a person can have depends on the relationship type.
You can add Other Relationships at the bottom of the person page in Family Tree.
In Family Tree, you can remove Other Relationships by going to the Details section of the person page.
You can edit Other Relationships by clicking the edit icon next to the relationship on the person page in Family Tree.
You can view the change history for Other Relationships in the Latest Changes menu or from the Other Relationship pop-up menu.
To restore an Other Relationship that was deleted from Family Tree, go to the Latest Changes menu on the person page.
