Adelshofen is a village in the Kraichgau region of southwest Germany.  It was annexed by 75031 Eppingen on 1 Jul 1971.  Adelshofen was first mentioned as Otolshoven in 1287.  In the 18th century it was owned by the Neipperg family, a German noble family.  In 1806 it was incorporated into the Grand Duchy of Baden. The Grand Duchy of Baden was formed in 1806 as an independent country. It joined the German Empire in 1871. As part of Germany it remained a Grand Duchy until 1918, the end of World War I.
