Known Issues

Question #1: If I see something that doesn't seem correct, such as spelling errors, missing dates, duplicate images, etc., how can I verify the information by viewing the original document?
Answer #1: The Alabama State Census, 1855 is on microfilm and found in the Catalog at State census for Alabama for the year 1855. The following is a list of known problems:

  • Records with a Film 1686107 include other record types (birth or deaths). If the image number is between 50 and 98, it is a valid census record.
