Parish History

Bassingthorpe St Thomas is an Ancient Parish in the small village of Bassingthorpe to the south east of neighbour Great Ponton, Lincolnshire and includes the hamlet of Westby.

BASINGTHORPE (Thomas à Becket), a parish, in the union of Grantham, wapentake of Beltisloe, parts of Kesteven, county of Lincoln, 3¾ miles (N. W.) from Corby. [1]
