Known Issues

NOTE: For a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection or how to find missing images elsewhere, see Article 56000, Using Film Notes in the Catalog to determine the content of a final browse point in Historical Records.

NOTE: Most missing records are available on microfilm. See Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche for instructions on ordering microfilm as well as finding a local FamilySearch Center where you can view the films.

Question #1: Some records are missing. Where can they be viewed?
Answer #1: See answers below for information about known missing records and their respective film numbers, if available, or alternate online location:

  • Goé > Tables décennales 1843-1851 erroneously redirects to La Gleize > Tables décennales 1843-1851 > Image NaN of 18. Only the first of six images are available for viewing. Film 613889 contains all six images for Goé.
  • Polleur > Pièces de mariage 1872-1895 can be found on Film 2394371.
  • Rahier > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1895, déclarations d'indigénat 1894-1908 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Rahier > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1896-1900 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Sart > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1894, déclarations d'indigénat 1892 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Sart > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1898-1900, actes de naturalité 1894-1900 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Sippenaecken > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1900 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Soiron > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891 is located in the browse path Polleur.
  • Theux > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1846 only includes Naissances, mariages 1846. The décès 1846 records can be found starting at Image 161 of 195 of Theux > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1845.

Question #2: The Event Type and Year Range (browse point) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. Is there a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?
Answer #2: The following list of known browse point discrepancies describes the event type or year range that actually exist in this collection:

  • Abée > Pièces de mariage 1892 juin-1900 should be from Abée-Scry
  • Abée > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1900 should be from Abée-Scry.
  • Abée > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1799-1840 includes records from Scry at Abée.
  • Abée-Seny > Tables décennales 1861-1880 and Tables décennales 1881-1890 should be from Abée-Scry.
  • The following browse points in Dison are actually from Cornesse (with additional discrepancies):
    Décès 1797
    Décès 1799-1800
    Décès 1802-1803
    Mariages 1801-1802 (should be renamed to Décès 1801-1802)
    Mariages 1802-1803
    Mariages, décès 1797-1798
    Mariages, publications 1805-1806 (year span may be 1804-1805)
    Mariages, publications 1807
    Naissances 1797
    Naissances 1799-1800
    Naissances 1800-1801 (should be renamed to Naissances, mariages 1800-1801)
    Naissances 1801-1802
    Naissances 1802-1803
    Naissances, mariages, décès 1805-1806
  • Berg > Tables décennales 1891-1900 belongs in the collection browse path of Belgium, Limburg, Civil Registration, 1798-1906 > Berg. The associated film number is 2004954.
  • Chavée > Tables décennales 1833-1842 belong in the browse path > Chenée.
  • La Gleize > Actes 1843-1851 should be relocated to Belgium, Namur, Civil Registration, 1800-1912 as records from the Commune of Monceau.
  • Lontsen > all the browse points need to be relocated to >Lontzen
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1895, déclarations d'indigénat 1894-1908 belong in the browse path Rahier.
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1896-1900 belong in the browse path Rahier.
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1894, déclarations d'indigénat 1892 belong in the browse path Sart.
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1898-1900, actes de naturalité 1894-1900 belong in the browse path Sart.
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891-1900 belong in the browse path Sippenaecken.
  • Polleur > Naissances, publications de mariage, mariages, décès 1891 belong in the browse path Soiron.
  • Saint-Nicolas > Décès 1888 are actually Décès, Naissances, Mariages 1888-1890.
  • Saint-Nicolas > Naissances, mariages, décès 1889-1894 year span is 1891-1894.
  • Wanne > Tables Decennales 1792-1801 (vol 41) belong in Belgium, Brabant, Civil Registration, 1582-1914 > Lasne-Chapelle-Saint-Lambert > Tables Decennales (vol 41 - 42) 1792-1812. The associated digital film numbers are 5829196 and 5829198.
  • Vaux-sous-Chèvremont > Actes 1807-1860 contains Velroux > Actes 1807-1860.
