Parish History

Bidford, is a village, a parish, and a subdistrict, in Alcester district, Warwickshire. The village is on the river Avon, 3¾ miles SSE of Alcester railway station, and 7 miles WSW of Stratford-on-Avon; the post office is under Bromsgrove. The parish includes also the hamlets of Barton, Broom. and Marlcliff. There are two Methodist chapels.[1]
