Category talk:British Columbia countiesEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
Working on making this a more useful page. In BC, counties are only defined for the administration of justice - and have limited use in genealogy. But the British Columbia referring page mentions counties and districts which is more useful (as I see does the add'l. description for the category). Cariboo is both a Justice Dept. county and officially/unofficially a district. Vancouver Island contains two counties but is also known as a district.
