FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.


The Concord California Family History Center serves Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and surrounding Communities.  It is located in the broader Bay Area which is served by the Oakland California Large Multi-stake Family History Center.

  • Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.

Hardware and Equipment

  • The Center has seven microfilm readers capable of viewing 35mm and 16mm film, three microfiche readers, and a film scanner/printer.  Eleven computers, including two Macs, provide Internet access.
