Creating Family SlideshowsEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
There are many different programs that you can use to create a basic, simple family slideshow using your family photographs. Most of the following programs are 100% free. With some of them, the basic program options are free while the more advanced ones are not.
Irfanview: (Freeware) You can also use Irfanview for editing features.
FastStone Image Viewer:''''(Freeware)
Hallmark Smilebox: The Basic Design version is free. There are literally over hundreds of designs that you can choose from. Once you choose a design, all you have to do is import your scanned family photos into the design. The Basic version also allows you to choose from three different songs that you can use in your slideshow. There is a small cost if you want to choose from a variety of music or if you want to use one of your own choices. This site is also great for sending your finished slideshow to family & friends through e-mail or in a family blog.
OneTrueMedia: In OneTrueMedia you can create either a family slideshow, a family photobook, or a family montage. Once again, the basic version is free. For more advanced options, a small price is required. This is great for creating a slideshow or montage and then sending it to family and friends through e-mail or in a family blog.
Windows Movie Player: This comes with Windows Operating System. It is more advanced than some of the others but still basic enough to create a fun family slideshow.
