Parish History

KNOYLE, EAST (St. Mary), a parish and a village in the district of Mere in the county of Wiltshire, 2¼ miles (S. W.) from Hindon. [1]

Knoyle is in the Hundred (division) of Downton and Hindon. The village stands 2½ miles N by W of Semley railway station, and 2½ SW by S of Hindon. There is a place of worship for Baptists.
