Recent changes to the "How To" library include a new presentation on how to index overlays. View There is a link to the "How To" library on each project update page.
All people on the ship or plane, including crew, agents, passengers, etc., are to be indexed. Only index people on the vessel. Do not include listed relatives, next of kin, whom the passenger was listed to visit, and so forth. It is not necessary to index any signatures on the documents.
If a birthplace or nationality is recorded as "Stateless," mark the field as blank.

Documents titled "Questions to be answered by the immigrant before booking" should not be indexed. If an image only has this kind of document, it should be marked as a No Extractable Data Image
