In the field help, it specifically says to index the maiden name of the mother in the same surname place as the married name, i.e. both names in the box. My arbitrator must not have read that part, as I was corrected for each and every maiden surname-married surname combinaton. We need some specific guidance here. Also, when the child's surname is not written with the given name, I left the surname blank. The arbitrator "inferred" the child's surname from the father's surname. In the project instructions example, it leaves the surname of a father blank when the example image showed the father's given name and then the mother's given name and surname, connected by the word "and," i.e. John and Mary Smith. No surname is indexed for John.
