Forest City is an extinct town, now an unorganized territory (township) in the North Washington townships of Washington County, Maine. In 1873 the town of Forest City was organized from the eastern portion of the town of Eaton. Forest City surrendered its town organization in 1924, and since then has remained unorganized territory.[1] [2]
