History of the parish
By Royal resolution Jine 11, 1937 the east part af Vestre Aker clerical district was separated to become its own parish with the name Grefsen.
Sinsen parish was established in 1957 from parts of Grefsen. In 1958 a new boundary was created with Torshov parish. Solemskogen was added to the parish with the same resolution.
Tonsen parish was created in 1959 from parts of Grefsen parish and in 1865 part of Grefsen were taken away and added to the newly established Nordberg parish.
