History

The parish was originally called Davids Østre parish.

The following is a chronological list of changes to the parish:

  • 8 Feb 1923 - Davids Østre parish split from Davids parish. The church was called Davids kirke.
  • 1 June 1930 - Davids kirke dedicated and name of parish changed to Hans Egedes parish
  • 1931 - parts of Rosenvængets parish given to Hans Egedes.
