Big Lake (also known as Number 21 ED Township, and also Plantation 21) is a former plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the North Washington townships of Washington County, Maine. Big Lake Plantation was organized from Township 3 R1 and Number 21 ED Township about 1841 (report undated). That organization ended in 1860. It was apparently renewed briefly and discontinued again in 1893 under the name Hinkley Plantation.[1] [2]
