  • 1st Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Liberty, Burkeville and Monticello, Kentucky, October, 1861, and mustered in October 28, 1861.
    Veterans and recruits consolidated to a Battalion of 3 Companies and on duty at various points in Kentucky, operating against guerrillas and quieting country, until September, 1865. Mustered out September 20, 1865.
  • 2nd Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Camp Joe Holt and Muldraugh's Hill, Kentucky, September 9, 1861, to February 13, 1862.
    Mustered out at Camp Joe Holt, Kentucky, July 9-27, 1865.
  • 3rd Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized in Calhoun and McLean Counties, Kentucky, December 13, 1861.
    Surrender of Johnston and his army. Duty at Lexington, North Carolina, and in the Dept. of North Carolina until July. Mustered out July 15, 1865.
  • 4th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Louisville, Kentucky, December 24, 1861.
    Capture of Macon April 20. Duty at Macon and in the Dept. of Georgia until August. Mustered out August 21, 1865.
  • 5th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Columbus, Kentucky, December, 1861, to February, 1862, and mustered in at Gallatin, Tennessee, March 31, 1862.
    Surrender of Johnston and his army. Mustered out May 3, 1865.
  • 7th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at large and mustered in at Paris, Kentucky, August 16, 1862.
    Duty at Macon until June and at Nashville, Tennessee until July. Mustered out July 10, 1865.
  • 10th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Covington, Lexington and Crab Orchard, Kentucky, for one year's service, September 8 to November 11, 1862.
    Expedition from Beaver Creek into Southwest Virginia July 3-11, 1863. Gladesville, Virginia, July 7. Regiment mustered out September 17, 1863.
  • 11th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Companies "A," "C," "D" and "F" organized at Harrodsburg, Kentucky, July, 1862. Balance at Louisville, Kentucky, September 26, 1862.
    Moved to Atlanta, Georgia, thence to Louisa, Kentucky. Mustered out July 12 to 17, 1865.
  • 12th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Caseyville and Owensboro, Kentucky, November 17, 1862.
    Returned to East Tennessee and duty at Sweetwater until August. Mustered out August 23, 1865.
  • 14th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Companies "A," "B," "C" and "D" organized at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and mustered in November 6, 1862. Other Companies organized at Irvine, Kentucky, August 21, 1862, to February 13, 1863.
    Lancaster August 1. Mustered out September 16, 1863, to March 24, 1864.
  • 15th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Owensborough, Kentucky, October, 1862.
    Expedition from Paducah, Kentucky, to McLemoresville, Tennessee, September 20-30. Mustered out October 6 to 29, 1863.
  • 16th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Paducah, Kentucky, September, 1863.
    Near Rheatown, Duvall's Ford, Watauga River, September 30. Consolidated with 12th Kentucky Cavalry October 15, 1864.
  • 17th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Russellsville, Kentucky, April 25, 1865.
    Assigned to duty at Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and in Southern Kentucky, along Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Mustered out September 20, 1865.
