Parish History

Little Steeping St Andrew is an Ancient Parish; the church is a Grade II* listed building. It dates from the 14th century, although alterations were made in 1638 and 1701, with later restorations. The cross in the churchyard is Grade II listed and a scheduled monument.

A Methodist chapel was built in the village but is now owned as residentail dwelling.

STEEPING, LITTLE (St. Andrew), a parish, in the union of Spilsby, E. division of the soke of Bolingbroke, parts of Lindsey, county of Lincoln, 3¾ miles (S. E. by E.) from Spilsby. [1]

This parish was in the Spilsby sub-district of Spilsby registration district.
