History

LLANDILO'R-VÀN (LLAN-DEILOFÀN), a parish, in the hundred of Merthyr-Cynog, union and county of Brecknock, South Wales, 12 miles (N. W. by W.) from Brecknock. This parish is bounded on the north by the parishes of Newchurch-in-Tîr-Abbot and Llangammarch, on the south by Llywel, on the east by Llanvihangel-Nant-Brân, and on the west by Llanvair-ar-y-Bryn. The church, dedicated to St. Teilo, and appropriately fitted up, is eighty-four feet in length and twenty-seven in breadth.[1]
