Known Issues

NOTE: For a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection or how to find missing images elsewhere, see Article 56000, Using Film Notes in the Catalog to determine the content of a final browse point in Historical Records.

NOTE: Most missing records are available on microfilm. See Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche for instructions on ordering microfilm as well as finding a local FamilySearch Center where you can view the films.

Question #1: Some records are missing. Where can they be viewed?
Answer #1: See answers below for information about known missing records and their respective film numbers, if available, or alternate online location:

  • Matamoros > Nuestra Señora del Refugio > Información matrimonial 1957-1960 records can be viewed on Film 605565 at your local FamilySearch Center.

Question #2: The Event Type and Year Range (browse point) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. Is there a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?
Answer #2: The following list of known browse point discrepancies describes the event type or year range that actually exist in this collection:

  • Melchor Múzquiz > Santa Rosa de Lima > Bautismos 1925-1933 year span should be 1930-1933.
  • Parras > Santa María > Bautismos 1802-1805 year span should be 1802-1806.

Question #3: Where are the right side pages of the 1929-1930 baptismal records located in Melchor Múzquiz > Santa Rosa de Lima > Bautismos 1922-1931, 1929-1930?
Answer #3: The left side of Page 1 to Page 75 of the 1929-1930 baptismal records are located in Images 679-771 of the browse point Bautismos 1922-1931, 1929-1930. The corresponding right side of Page 1 to Page 75 are located in Images 114-193 of the browse point Bautismos 1925-1933.

Question #4: Where are the right side pages of the 1930-1933 baptismal records located in Melchor Múzquiz > Santa Rosa de Lima > Bautismos 1925-1933?
Answer #4: The good news is that both sides of the baptismal record pages are available in this browse point. The left side of Page 75 to Page 171 of the 1930-1933 baptismal records are located in Images 5-112. The corresponding right side of Page 75 to Page 171 are located in Images 193-294.

NOTE: You can view the pages side-by-side by opening up two Windows while you are browsing the above 1929-1933 baptismal records. We appreciate that this is not the most efficient way to view records; however, we have to credit the camera-operator for at least including both sides of the pages.
