Question #1: Some records are missing. Where can they be viewed?
Answer #1: Most missing records are available on microfilm. See Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche for instructions on ordering microfilm as well as finding a local FamilySearch Center where you can view the films. See answers below for information about missing records and their respective film numbers.

  • Ozumba de Alzate > Inmaculada Concepción > Bautismos de hijos legítimos 1912-1914 are not available. Order Film 442068 Item 3 to see the records until they are placed online
  • Hueypoxtla > San Bartolomé > Bautismos de hijos legítimos 1914-1915 are not available. Order Film 442068 Item 5 to see the records until they are placed online
  • Ixtapan del Oro > San Miguel > Bautismos de hijos naturales 1918-1920 are not available. Order Film 442068 Item 6 to see the records until they are placed online

Question #2: The Event Type and Year Range (browse point) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. Is there a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?
Answer #2: The following list of known browse point discrepancies describes the event type or year range that actually exist in this collection:

  • Chapa de Mota > San Miguel Archangel > Bautismos 1851-1864, 1866-1871, 1873-1876 year range should be 1857-1864, 1866-1871, 1873-1876. The Film 748913 is subdivided as follows:
Item 1: 1861-1866 (Image 5),
Item 2: 1857-1861 (Image 109),
Item 3: 1858-1861 (Image 218),
Item 4: 1861- 1864 (Image 308),
Item 5: 1866-1871 (Image 372), and
Item 6: 1873-1876 (Image 490).
  • Coacalco de Berriozábal > San Francisco de Asís contains records that you would expect to find in the browse path Tultitlán de Mariano Escobedo > San Antonio de Padua. Due to close proximity of these two towns, the records in these two browse paths are intermixed. You will also see references to San Lorenzo, Tultitlán because the both the churches of San Lorenzo (16th century) and San Antonio de Padua (18th century) are in Tultitlán.
  • San José Allende > San José > Defunciones 1754-1803 can be found in Mexico, Guerrero, Catholic Church Records, 1576-1979 > Tixtla de Guerrero > San Martín > Defunciones 1854-1862, 1879-1959.
  • Valle de Bravo > San Francisco de Asís > Bautismos 1886-1890 > Images 260-264 of 529 contain an incomplete set of random marriage index entries that correspond to actual marriage records in Valle de Bravo > San Francisco de Asís > Matrimonios 1906-1921 and Matrimonios 1921-1939.
