Many of the original records of church units are in the Church History Library in Salt Lake City. Many of the membership records covering these units from the date of their creation to about 1948 have been microfilmed and are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City or at its Family History Centers. Records of the Rockland Ward (1883-1948) are in this collections.
The Idaho State Archives in Boise has a collection of city, county, state and regional directories.
Rockland is in the center of an extensive farming district, about 15 miles south of American Falls, and 30 miles by roundabout road southwest of Pocatello. The gardens and farms are irrigated from Rock Creek and its tributaries, but so far dry farming has not proven much of a success. The total population of the Rockland Precinct was 730 in 1930.
Additional history of Rockland, Idaho and the early Mormon settlers there can be found in:

There are no copies of Rockland newspapers in the Idaho State Archives, but copies of issues of some newspapers in some nearby towns are in the collections of the Archives in Boise and may be of interest to residents of Rockland.
