Newspapers and Magazines in Northern Schleswig

In 1770 King Christian II lifted the ban on free press. Soon a host of newspapers emerged in the northern part of Schleswig-Holstein. Newspapers are an excellent source to investigate what was going on at the local level. Following is a list of newspapers published with the date of their first edition:
