History

Since 1585, Skt. Petri has ben a German parish. On 5 November 1671, the parish was given privileges over the Germans residing in the area. On 10 September 1803, these privileges were diminished and the parish only included Germans in Copenhagen proper. After 8 December 1818, the parish was further diminished to only include those Germans residing in the suburb of Vesterbro.
