In the Parish of Rheinau in Canton Zürich many marriage entries can be found from people from many other areas, such as Baden, Württemberg and Bavaria in Germany and Bohemia, Moravia and Tirol, as well as Elsass and France. This is because Rheinau was a beloved place for weddings. In fact marriages for non-citizens were 3 times more common than for residents. This had to do with the beautiful surroundings which would make a beautiful setting for weddings.

Germans and Elsass citizens are also often found in the church death registers in Rheinau. This in part because of the 30 Years' War and many other things which occurred in Germany causing many to come for refuge. Some extracted names from these registers can also be found in Genealogie Heft 9 Sept. 1968. p. 300-307. The Family History call number is 943 B2gf.
Southern Germans and people of Elsass who were Catholics could be found in Dietikon and Rheinau where for years were the only locations in Zürich where Catholics could be citizens. A list of names extracted from the parish records can be found in Genealogie Heft 7 July 1969 p. 785.
In Genealogie Year 21 Heft 12 1972 page 536 is an article called "Taufen von Flüchtlingskindern in Zürich 1618-1650" by Konrad Schulthess who lists names of immigrant baptisms in the Church in Zürich including the localities they are from.
In Genealogie year 1969 Heft 9 is an article by the same author regarding marriages of Germans in Zürich from 1600-1700
