The term chapelry should not be applied to this District Parish church; the land history is one of lands owned by the Bishop's of Rochester and Church records reflect the District Church plan and funding for both Holy Trinity and it's successor on Bromley Common St Luke's as District Parish churches. From consecration it had a rector and was licensed for marriages and was provided with potential graveyard land of considerable acreage!

For a district church opened in 1843 could someone please correct the references to 18th century? Some revision is needed urgently! DowneOPC 12:12, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
