Talk:California Marriage Index (FamilySearch Historical Records)Edit This Page

Incorrect Source Citation
The citation in this collection is very wrong. I am quite sure that the California Birth index did not come from the Department of Agriculture in Ottawa, Ontario. --Banai 05:19, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Incomplete Location Information
The index includes "Place" of event. From what I remember, California indexes are listed generally by county but also by city for some cities, in numeric code. Without being specific, how is anyone to know whether the place listed is the county or the city? I suppose this could be a problem with FamilySearch's method of indexing rather than the search results. Unless the index actually contains the code, in which case, the search results should either specify the code or provide a more correct place name --Banai 05:19, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
