Talk:Community Meeting Agenda 8 December 2009Edit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
After the mention of Google Wave at the meeting, I got curious and watched the video and did some reading. There is already an extension for mediawiki to embed waves - still experimental as well. I even broke down and requested an invitation.
- I watched it as well. Very interesting. Without having been able to attend the meeting, I am not sure of any discussion concerning ideas for how it may be useful within the Research Wiki. Any thoughts Steve (mentioned in chat), Laralee (above comment), or others? Thomas Lerman 19:00, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- It came up as part of a discussion on a way to allow project teams where members are in different locations and working on different parts of a project to be able to come together and collaborate. It was sort of a side conversation that came off of a request for help to finish up the un-portal pages and someone (I forget who) indicated that he had a project team that could help when not working on other parts of their assigned project.
