Needed: Explanation of how to request an image for records in this collection
How do I request an image for a record in this collection? Thanks
The only image collection currently available in Beta FamilySearch is:
Illinois, Cook County Deaths, 1878-1922. It is found at:
You can also check the Family History Library Catalog for listings of microfilms that could help you:
Copies of some death records are available at:
Follow this link to the Illinois State Archives for information on obtaining death records.
Needed: Record Coverage table
It would be really helpful to know if this collection is a complete list of ALL reported deaths, or if there are gaps. A coverage table would be nice. Lise 16:10, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
A question about the Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths database
I was happy to find an individual in this database, but I am puzzled about one thing. The database names the mother of the deceased, while the certified copy of the 1916 death certificate from the State of Illinois does not name either parent. The certificate is totally legible, and there is no doubt this is the same person. Where did this mother's name come from?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this issue. If I should ask this question in a different forum, please point me to the right place.
I have asked for data to create a coverage table.
I've also asked other people if they know the answer to the question about the name of the mother.
Thank you for your interest
