Talk:New York, Land Records (FamilySearch Historical Records)Edit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
Just curious if there is any reason why Nassau was not included? Much of my family lived in Nassau (then part of Queens) in 1870s-1920s and it is such a shame how little seems to be available due to the jurisdictional mess of that area (villages, townships, counties changing).
I checked with a member of the unit that puts collections together and he said that a contract between FamilySearch and Nassau County has not yet been signed. He said that the County may have preserved their records on microfim or digitally, so you might want to contact them directly in case it takes a little while for FamilySearch to negotiate a contract.
Thank you for asking,
