Perhaps an SEO at the top of the page so it is more easily found with a Google search Linda R Chappell 23:28, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
SEO has been added. And per our discussion, I know the article is a little long (my words: "wordy") so I fixed it by making it longer. As you said, some people prefer a bullet list type style so I have added that as well in the form of a "Article Summary Section". Have also expanded that section to include "other useful links" which I hope will be added to by other wiki contributors. I found as many as I could but I'm sure there are other relevant articles that would be good for those "new to genealogy". Luccagenes 19:52, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
I have been watching this article grow. I am impressed. It covers a variety of learning styles - which is excellent. I don't know that I would change anything...with one side thought that I don't know how to change, if change at all. This would be... if you are NOT a reader, I don't think you would ever scroll all the way to the bottom to get to the great chart of links. But that chart can't be at the top of the page either. A thought might be to have that chart, not only on this page, but also on a page of it's own that might be found on a search. Jim, when you are ready, I would like to pass this article up the line to the person currently working on the first box of the main page. You might just have "done" her work for her. Thanks for a really fine effort. Linda R Chappell 15:38, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
Excellant suggestions. I have included a highlight box at the beginning so the reader can select the option they want. I had thought about putting the table on a separate page (which would be transcluded back to the original article) but making that page also searchable is worthwhile. I will create another page next. Thanks.Luccagenes 17:51, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
Okay, now I am going to be critical. I really like the highlight box, but the shade of yellow is not bright enough for my eyes. Also the words on two sides of the box should have more padding/margins as the words run together .. I wear trifocals, so that might be the issue too. Kudos... you know how much I like your work.Linda R Chappell 18:09, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
The padding and margins I can fix, I didn't want to make the page look like a rainbow so I just used the same yellow as the main table (I will pick a slightly darker shade). Do you have the same issues with the text or coloring on the main table too? I am partial to blue anyway. Luccagenes 19:22, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
Linda, I do not know if this made it better or worse. I played with the margins and spacing but the text spacing itself within the words cannot be adjusted (browser issues) unless one goes to a different font entirely. Blue works for me as it is easier on my eyes than the yellow. I just noticed that Myra posted the page on Yammer so I guess the page is done. Feel free to pass it along to whoever you think is appropriate. Thanks for the input. Luccagenes 21:34, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
I do like the change in color and padding/margin. It is easier on the eye. Good jobLinda R Chappell 01:23, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
