Tegernsee, Bavaria, GermanyEdit This Page

From FamilySearch Wiki

Tegernsee is a beautiful town on Lake Tegernsee in southern Bavaria. There are several other small villages around this lake.  They run into each other and so when looking for information on an ancestor from Tegernsee it is a good idea to check them also...such as Rottach-Egern and Bad Wiesee. The area is predominately Catholic with a few parrishes and many cemeteries.  However a majority of the records are found at the Catholic Archives in Munich. There is also a civil record house in Tegernsee right on the main street that goes through town.  They are very helpful if you happen to visit when the registrar is in and available to assist you.
