Review your tree and find someone that you want to know more about.

Tips:

  • Look for someone who has event information missing - like birth or marriage information
  • Try to find parents of an individual
  • Try to find children of a couple

What does it say?

Step 3: Decide what record to look at

Depending on what you want to verify from the census will decide what record you will look at.

Birth information:

  • Birth Records
  • Christening/baptismal church records
  • Death records
  • Obituaries
  • Military

Step 4: Find the record

Did you find the record you were looking for? Now you need to know what it says: tips: look at the original read each area of the document make a note of what the information says - you can add it directly to the tree


What does it say?

Reading the record - what does it say? Compare and record info in the tree? Do you have enough to submit for temple work?
