I currently serve as the Stake Family History Center Director for the Cartersville, Georgia Stake. Cartersville is about 45 miles north of Atlanta on I-75 in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I am involved in two ongoing projects: ATCO, Georgia, The Village Project, and The Natchez/Creek/Cherokee Research Project.

The Village project documents the history of a southern textile mill village built around 1906. We've gathered together adults who grew up in the village and are compiling family stories, histories, and photos to maintain the history of the Village and its residents.

The Natchez/Cherokee/Creek Project documents families who filed 1906 Eastern Cherokee applications. In connection with this project, I do work with Natchez Nation descendants to find their ancestors.

I am a free-lance author who is just beginning to get my feet wet. I've had two articles published in a regional history magazine, and more recently wrote an academic article for the Southern Appalachians Genealogical Association newsletter, The Appalachiana.
