Venezuela, Zulia, Arquidiócesis de Maracaibo, Registros Catolico
This collection of 1930-2012 church records includes records of baptisms, marriages, burials, confirmations, pre-marriage investigations, and other miscellaneous archives from the parishes of the Catholic Archdiocese of Maracaibo in Venezuela. In Latin America, two or three generations are often indicated in church registers, along with their birthplaces or residences. If, however, earlier generations are not listed with the relative or ancestor selected, try searching parishes located within a close proximity.

Baptismal records usually contain the following information:
- Date and place of baptism
- Child’s name and gender
- Child’s birth date
- Parents’ names, origin, and province
Marriage records usually contain the following information:
- Date and place of marriage
- Name of groom
- Groom’s age, civil status, origin, and residence
- Name of bride
- Bride’s age, civil status, origin, and residence
Death records usually contain the following information:
- Name of deceased
- Age and gender of deceased
- Date and time of death
- Cause of death

Search the Collection
To search the collection you will need to follow this series of links:
⇒ Select the Browse link in the initial search page
⇒ Select the Estado category
⇒ Select the Ciudad o pueblo category
⇒ Select the Parroquia category
⇒ Select the Tipo de registro y años category which takes you to the images.
Look at the images one by one comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine which one is your ancestor. You may need to compare the information about more than one person to make this determination.
