FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

Open Hours:
Monday: 9am - Noon
Tuesday: 12 pm - 3 pm & 6pm - 9pm
Wednesday: 9 am - 3 pm
Thursday: 9 am - Noon
Friday: 9 am - 3 pm
Saturday: 9 am - noon 

Holiday Schedule: Closed November 19th - 24th for Thanksgiving and December 22nd - Jan 2nd for Christmas Holidays

Center Resources


  • Family History Library Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the Family History Library Catalog.
  • Collection of New Mexico Historical Documents and books
  • (List additional collections you have such as the types of books and microfilm you have on indefinite loan; though you will not want to list every single item you have. Just give visitors to this page a general idea of your resources.)

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal: This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.There are a number of Premium Websites which are available at no charge on one of the computers which are available at the center.
    These Premium Sites include:
    The 19th Century British Library Newspapers digital archives
    Access Newspaper Archives which is the world’s largest online newspaper archive
    Alexander Street Press, Civil War covering Civil War Records
    Find My Past – which is like except it focuses on the United Kingdon
    Fold3 (Formery Footnote) – contains millions of Military Historical Documents and photos
    The Genealogist- which has United Kingdom Parish records, directories, etc
    Genline Family Finder- Access to Original Swedish Church Records
    Godfrey Memorial Library – U.S. and Internations Genealogical Resources
    Heritage Quest Online-
    Paper Trail- 19th Century American Migration documents
    World Vital Records- Access to birth, Marriage, and death records and much more.

Hardware and Equipment

  • Microfilm and Microfiche Readers, Capability to print from Microfilm or Microfiche, 5 Computers with access to Internet and premium web sites as described above.
