Known Issues

NOTE: For a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection or how to find missing images elsewhere, see Article 56000, Using Film Notes in the Catalog to determine the content of a final browse point in Historical Records.

NOTE: Most missing records are available on microfilm. See Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche for instructions on ordering microfilm as well as finding a local FamilySearch Center where you can view the films.

Answer #1: See answers below for information about missing records and their respective film numbers.

  • Ayacucho > Purificación de la Virgen María > Bautismos 1897-1899 is missing some images; they were not captured by the camera operator. They will not be found on the corresponding Film 1104681.

  • Tandil > Santísimo Sacramento > Bautismos 1871-1874 was not scanned in its entirety. Approximately 200 images were randomly missed. To view all the records, you will need to order Film 1104313.

Question #2: The Event Type and Year Range (browse point) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. Is there a way to determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?

Question #3: Film 683852 Bautismos 1811-1848 was indexed incorrectly with years greater than 1848. How can we determine the correct year?
Answer #3: There are 81 indexed records for 1863 that should be 1836, and one indexed record for 1861 that should be 1841. Always view the image to verify the correct year.
