5,104 rolls of film. These records are filed and catalogued by the name of the regiment or unit.  See "Recruiting Location Tables" for help in finding the name of the regiment into which the soldier was recruited.

Most regiments have individual indexes, but there is no general index for all regiments except for the officers' index.  Information for each soldier includes name, age, birthplace, children's names and birth dates (after 1770), religion, occupation and marital status.
