Known Issues

Question #1: Is there a list of missing images? Are they available on the microfilm?
Answer #1: The following is a list of known instances of missing images. These images are not on the original microfilm. They were either missed in filming or were not in the original records.

  • Gottignies > Naissances 1797-1824 > Image 67 of 266 Missing page – alphabetical listing for names from A-M
  • Strée > Naissances 1797-1854, the index of records on image 426 shows birth records #41-44. However, they end at #40 on the previous page.

Question #2: Is there a list of browse points that do not match the contents of the records
Answer #2: The following is a list of browse points that have records incorrectly identified.

  • Tournai > Tables décennales 1802-1900, mariages, décès 1802-1830 should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai > Tables décennales 1802-1900, mariages, décès 1802-1830
  • Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décés 1831-1865 should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décés 1831-1865
  • Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1866-1893 should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1866-1893
  • Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1866-1893 should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1866-1893
  • Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1894-1900 should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai > Naissances, mariages, décès 1894-1900,
  • Vaulx should read Vaulx-lez-Tournai

Question #3: The browse point Thirimont > Reg. de population 1801-1870 was previously available. Where can I view these records now?
Answer #3: Whenever possible, FamilySearch makes images available to all users. FamilySearch has limited rights, granted by the record custodians, to publish images for viewing online for this collection. FamilySearch respects and strives to adhere to all laws respective to preserving and providing access to genealogical records in its collections.

The images in Thirimont > Reg. de population 1801-1870 are available on Film 631910, Item 2 which may be viewed at your nearest FamilySearch Center. For information see: Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche.
